What's New with BSA Scout Troop 92?

May was a busy month for Scouts in Troop 92!

Scouts planted trees commemorating 250 years of American independence. Scouts’ Mother’s Day Flower sale fundraiser was a big success! Thanks to all who supported this Troop and bought flowers.

Graveside flags were replaced in time for Memorial Day. Scouts were Honor Guards at Ashford’s Memorial Day ceremony.

To wrap up May, there was a white-water rafting trip!

Cub Scouts assembled and painted birdhouses for Mother’s Day. They also learned the basics of knots and tying shoelaces. They topped the month off by attending a campout at J.N. Webster Scout Camp and participating in the Barry E. Grant Memorial Fishing Derby with many other scouts.

Phew! What a month!

In June, there are plans for a double Eagle ceremony to advance John Zulick and Joe Peppin to the rank of Eagle Scout. Date TBD.

In August, Scouts will spend a week at J.N. Webster Scout Reservation for summer camp. The summer camp schedule will be week 6, which is Aug 2-7. The renovated dining hall will now seat 550 for a meal, and it will be air-conditioned as well.

No Scout newsletter in June or July. No Scout meetings when school is not in session. See you in September. Have a great summer!
